Re: Programming a 70-1495B

These guys are about the only ones that I know of that sell them. These cables are about 50 bucks with shipping. Unless you have more than one radio to program, sometimes the programming cable is worth more than the radio itself. https://rfguys.com/collections/programming-cables?page=2 Scroll down t...

XTR programming question

I recently picked up a nice XTR with the model number of 70-1342B-MM. Does anyone know if this radio is narrowband capable? I saw in another thread that maybe MM models are. The FCC ID number is AK5701342BMM and a search of the Part 90 database lists this model as capable of both 16K0F3E and 11K0F3E...

Re: Relm RMV800 tx problem

Just a follow up on this. I went ahead and bought a new PA module from a Chinese vendor and installed it. That seemed to cure the problem. I think the reason the original PA failed was because there was a problem with the threads on the SO-239 antenna coax connector and it wasn't allowing the PL-259...

Relm RMV800 tx problem

I bought an RMV800 vhf radio cheap that has a strange problem. When the radio is first turned on, it transmits just fine. It puts out close to 50 watts. Then after the radio is on for about 5-10 minutes and you key the mic, the red light comes on but the transmit wattage drops to zero. If you are li...

Re: TK-862H problems

I purchased a new kpg-4 cable made by an American company and the problem is solved! I can read and write to the radios now with no problem. Thanks again for the help.

Re: TK-862H problems

Thanks for the reply k2hz. I have been using a generic kpg-4 cable that works fine on a tk-880 that I have, but this is the first time I have tried using it on a tk-862. I'll see if I can get my hands on a genuine kpg-4 and see if that will make a difference.

TK-862H problems

I have three TK-862H radios that I can't seem to read or write to using the kpg-29d software. All I get is the Error!! Check connections message. I am using a kpg-4 cable that I have used with success on other radios, so I know it's not the cable. I am using the software on a couple of old windows 9...
