You can program it by channel in the software. But that is the only way unless you make your own system like Jim described.

I see you can get the dispatch software to allow you to send all the text and status messages via fleetsync with a connected 80-series radios. In my limted number of years programming Motorola and Kenwood radios, a sidetone is a tone emited from the speaker while the digital PTT-ID is being sent to prevent the user from trying to speak. On Motorola radios, the sidetone is continuous from when you push the PTT button to when the ID is sent....
