30 Series Tone Control

Can anyone tell me if there is an adjustable tone control on the 30 series of radios? My 730 has a nice sharp solid audio output in the speaker, however, my 830 sounds really really bassy and I would like to adjust it to sound more like my 730 does. I thought I would ask here before opening up the r...

tk-730/830 Squelch adjustment

Can someone tell me where and how I can adjust the squelch on these radios. One of them, the 830, is really loose. I looked thru the software (kpg7d) and could not find anything software related so I am guessing I either missed it or it is only hardware adjustable. If that is the case, can someone t...

The ignition wire was the problem. Once I hooked that up everything lit up just fine. Thanks for the responses and the help.

tk-830 will not power on

I have a tk-830 35w radio. I just received the radio so I do not know if it was working before hand or not, though I was assured that it was when it was purchased. Currently the radio will not power up. There is a small chance that the radio was miswired for power and accidently reversed the polarit...

ma-com rebanding

I thought I heard that I would not affect ma-com gear since all the gear uses freqs that are programmed into the radio in logical order.

jaguar 700p question

I have an 800 edacs capable 700p. I heard somewhere that this radio can be programmed to show an alpha tag that I can enter of my choice instead of the received LID number on the top line of the display. Such as instead of showing gr 10083 when it is receiving I can program it to display "dispa...

wire diagram for a jaguar 700p speaker mic

I need a diagram or detail list of the wire colors for a speaker mic that will go to a lpe-200, mrkII or a jag 700pi as I am told they are all the same. I need to wire in a new speaker mic cable to the speaker mic. Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks,

Dave

tk-790 question

hello to the group. I am about to ask a queston about the tk-790 model radios and know up front that I have no experience with kenwoods at all. All of my background is with moto and GE gear. With that. I have noticed that the tk790 has the ability to dual band two radio drawers with one control head...
