Re: VXR-7000 Community Repeater
In the software there is a menu for multi tone panel. There you can add your choice of Pl or DCS for different users. If you have it set to CW ID, it will Id on last use PL/DCS.

TK 890 UHf
I know the advertised band split of the TK890 UHF is 450-490. question is, with tuning, will it go to 500MHZ with out loosing any of the 453 range?? Unfortunately our needs are from 453 up to 498 transmit in our area.
Any thoughts or experience??
thanks for the help.

Re: Error_1 on a VX800 UHF
You could try to dump the default file for the correct band split in it. it may recover it. Now that I rmember, the CPU fatal would be when the display flashs. Error 1 could be mdc or option board if tit has one. if it does, and you remove it, you need the "dummy" board to get tx audio out...

Re: Dropping the power on a UHF VX-3000
I do not have the alignment box. Now memory kicked in. Been a while. They did have a alignment box for the early series of radios. We have one, but as of tomorrow, I am off for about 4 weeks for knee surgery. zor as the ameteur club put it: more parts for the scrap pile when i pass on. Hopefully not...

Re: Dropping the power on a UHF VX-3000
You need the servcice alignment software. We have found that some, not all, radios will not tx well at low power, sometimes under 3-4 watt, properly.
I would have to check the dealer site moday to see if the software is still available. it was DOS.

Re: VX-5500 CE-49 ver. 5.0 Can't Do Spaces in Alpha Tags
You will need to rool back. The 5.0 had no noticible improvements, other than it was supposed to run in Vista. never tried that. vista just did not play well with radio software, so pooped canned it.

Yes it is the 5.0 Do not know why, but it will not do spaces in the alpha tag, where the older versions did.

Any one have a file they could send with more than one channel in this radio??? I have 2 of them, but they are in need of more than one channel, and for some reason, I am having one heck of a brain fart trying to remember how to program these radios.
Thanks,
Paul B

Re: VX-P929
In one of the drop down menu's, you need to tell it that it has the sub receive board.
