Re: ICOM IC735 Blowing Fuse.

What 3 amp fuse are you referring to? Where is this fuse located and do you have a schematic diagram? Could be an internally shorted capacitor. Go to IC10 on the PL Unit and check pin 8 to ground. If there is a short it could be C18 or C247. Same procedure for all of the boards - check the 13.8V lin...

Re: TM-742A WON'T HOLD MEMORY

Old post I know but thought i would just answer it in case anyone else needs to know. The 641/642/741/742/941/942 series use the same lithium back up battery. The Kenwood "East Coast Parts" part number = W09-0573-05 and this battery if it falls close to 3.0 V is just about exhausted and sh...

Re: Bat Board

No, nothing is different from the one that was always at batboard.batlabs.com. It must be that they blocked the entire dreamhosters.com domain without understanding that there are lots of *.dreamhosters.com sites out there. Sadly there is nothing that I can do to help short of tell you to contact y...

Re: IDAS & D-STAR, the same or not?

I cant explain in detail but I can tell you they are totally different. DStar is an amateur radio digital interface for voice and data developed by JARL over in Japan. IDAS & NXDN were developed by Icom & Kenwood respectively and were developed for commercial useage as narrow band digital (1...

Re: Possible?: Mot RIB to Ericsson RIB

OK - I found it on the hall electronics ge tech web site - see below:

http://www.hallelectronics.com/getech/tq3370.htm

http://www.priceindustries.com/

They claim this adapter is on the price industries web site but i don't see any reference to it on their

Re: Possible?: Mot RIB to Ericsson RIB

Is it possible to convert a Mot RIB to replace the GE/Ericsson TQ3310 or TQ3370? Thanks. I do not remember where I saw it but I have seen reference to an add on adapter for the TQ3370 to make it emulate a standard moto rib(not the smart rib), so it must be possible to go the other way but i have no...

VXR-9000U Reference Freq Adjust

Anyone have any experience doing this adjustment procedure on a VXR-9000U ??? I can get into the dealer alignment mode but when in the tab "TX PD Det." I cannot get the "TX PLL Ref Frequency ADJ" to work at all - simply can't get the repeater to key up on any of the tabbed adjust...

Harris Unity XG-100 Receiver specs

Anyone out there in radio land have or can point me to an info source
for the receiver selectivity specs per band on this model?

I have googled and down loaded quite a few pdf docs but all seem to be
absent of this one aspect of receiver specs.

Re: 8 pin mic jack retaining nut tool ????

Thanks for the reply, however neither of those two tools in those links will do the job as the hex nut is made of a soft brass metal and with the needle nose pliers i have used i have already done some damage to the 4 slots. In addition this nut sits below the faceplate of the radio in a very narrow...
