Spend the $20 and put a real speaker on it. The 730 has a nice booming sound and pushing it through some underrated speaker is not good.

Can the VXR-1000U or the PYRAMID UHF SVR-200U be programming into the ham bands?

Does any kenwood portable have a convertacom style mobile docking station?

You can get a dual band kit for the 730/830 so it would only have 1 head. Replace the handheld with a yaesu fth2070, its a dual band handheld. Big and heavy but the only dualband option.

The 840 is a nice little radio but SCAN is a PIA... It doesnt scan channels but 1 channel per bank. Think of it as scanning up and down instead of across the channels.

Is the cable to control head that is used with the krk-2 the same cable used from the krk-4db to the control head? Does anyone have a krk-4db install document online somewhere? What are the different eproms in the 30 series? I have read about fAC fAB and FAA. how are they used in the krk-4db? gary
