Bendix King EPH

Not really overly familiar with Bendix, so I have a question. Got a VHF EPH that displays channels wrong or duplicated on the display ...ie the knob says 5 the radios says 3, then 4 channels will be fine and then knob postion nine shows 11 on the display. I can get access to the software and cable, ...

Panther & 300M

Just to verify, you tried different com ports, Windows sometimes likes to take com1 and even com 2. Double check those settings to make sure its available. Try setting and reading for at least com 2 and see if it works. I actually will be using the program tonite so I can check and see if there is a...

Thanks Andy... I found out where the software band limitations are stored, that need to be edited. They are in a file called XTR.CHL Open the file after saving a back-up copy somwhere, and use a Text or ASCII editor... I used Microsofts notepad for this one and you will see the different splits for ...

As to the printing... unfortunately I have only seen the long version but I also have never bothered to see if there is a way to do it otherwise. In order to get the system key, you need to fax the form that EF Johnson will send you, call them or email them and then you provide your info along with ...

M-RK

Hhmmm... where to begin. First off the M-RK series requires a encryption board and there are two choices either Voiceguard or DES, secondly the radios could be running analog or digital mode (Aegis) along with encryption also. That being said, if your department will let you carry a personal radio t...

MPS

What you have are MPS with the Voiceguard or DES package. The RJ 45 is for a Keyloader which looks like a black calculator. The radios should work fine with out a keyload if the switch is in the clear position. Its been a while since I have played with those...but if I remember you need to do some m...

Saber and other VHF radios

I agree with TOM, either the problems are with your system or at worst you need to have the Saber checked , because when properly tuned they are usually a very good radio. One other thing to consideron the portable side. is a better antenna. Larsen comes to mind http://www.radialllarsen.com/products...

M-RK

It will require the Programming Software... and either the ribless cable or the rib box and cable... If you have never dealt with this radio before it is not the easiest to program on trunking systems and can also be turned into a brick quite readily. There are radio shops in the area but its highly...
