Vertex VX-6000 Programming Cable

Post by rescuer »

Hello,

Does anyone know what pins I need to use to program a Vertex VX-6000?

It doesn't have an 8 pin microphone jack like the other radios I've programmed, although the microphone connects to the cable with an 8 pin jack. Can I use an 8 pin coupling to connect the programming cable to the microphone cable, or would I need to reverse the pinouts?

Thanks,

I know with the BSC5000 base station, you get this little jumper that screws on the radio left side mike jack, then plugs in the back of the mike jack on the front of the base station.

I asked one of our techs about your problem. He said try it. He remembers doing something of the same when he lost his cable for the 4000/5500/6000 series and beleived it worked.
