FTL-1011 Scan

Post by ATF1224 »

I have a bunch of Vertex FTL-1011 radios here that I am trying to program...

They are working fine except for one minor issue.. I can't get them to scan!

Does anyone have any idea how to make this work? I am trying to program them for user-programmable scan, and I can't even get them to go into scan mode..

The microphone ground clip has to be grounded to the radio chassis, IE you have to use the hookswitch feature to make the radio go into scan, there is no way around it with any of the FTL-X011 series radios.

I usually connect a microphone hanger clip to the side of the radio, just use one of the case screws to connect the microphone clip to the radios case and set the microphone in the clip and the radio will scan.

Tried grounding the mic to the chassis... still won't scan.
