VX4000 VHF question

Post by ChukGleason »

Been too busy to try this myself, and wondering if anyone has run across a way to put a VX4000 into 2M. I have put frequencies in, and of course the program has conniption fits, but somehow I got it to take it. Then if I look at that channel again, it just defaults to 148.000MHz. (or whatever the bottom end of the bandsplit is).

Any software/firmware issues to extend it down to 144Mhz?

Thanks

It seems that the only way to operate on 2m is to buy the A version of the 4000. Vertex seems unwilling to cater to hams using LMR gear. This I think is a mistake.
