Kenwood tk 840 programing help

I have 20 kenwood tk 840 and i have the software and the cable and the frequencies -2 of them from the fcc- i also know that i am a narrow band but i put the frequencies in the radio and nothing happens i can't transmitt but i hear people that share the frequency talk every once in a while. so my question does anyone know how to get a programing manual or tell me how to program even just one of these radios beside how to set up the qt/dqt list. thank you guys so much.
