Post by radio259 »

Have a 1979 vintage repeater, the 1000 series. has the 4 user pl card. Was there ever an otion for DPL?? Any one have any other cards laying around?? Could use more than 4 users.

EFJ never supported DPL with this repeater. I have never seen anyone offer an aftermarket
DPL 4 user card for this repeater.

If you REALLY want/need DPL, than you would be best served by finding another repeater.
Besides, that old EFJ stuff ate quartz crystals. You have to constantly set the things on frequency.

Hello
The old 1000 repeater had the basic controller with the cards to give the owner some options
CW IDer, 4 CG tones and Tone control
If you wanted any other options like DPL, Phone interconnect or air time billing
you would remove the controller and replace it wit a Zetron, CTI, CES or some other control unit.
We had it as an option and had alot go through the production floor with some one else controller on it.
Ya it is Xstral control but how many times do you change the repeater channel
They could be tune down to the 2 meter band and I think you had to replace a few caps. in the TX and RX section

I have a UHF model. Currently on 463.xxx.

Like I said, it was free, in very good condition, works great on current. Just hoping it slides down to 444.xxx/449.xxx.

Got 8 db gain antenna free, and controller free.
