I purchased 2 UHF 5100's at a surplus auction and would like some help with them
Radio 1 model 242-5122-410KA4 FW 4.8.10
Radio 2 model 242-5123-410GL4 FW 4.8.12
Is there a site I can go to to decode these model numbers?
after the auction I was also given a cd with PCConfigure 2.6.9 and 2.14.10
Which version would be best to use with these radio's? I have been using 2.6.9 on radio 1.
I have been playing with Radio 1 as radio 2 works but needs some TLC and repairs
with radio 1, I enabled the keypad programming function and programs just fine up to 450Mhz via the keypad,
when I try to input anything above 450Mhz I get an "invalid" error message.
When I program through the software I can program anything between 450 and 470Mhz and the radio takes it
Any hints, tips, or tricks so I can "program" that last 20Mhz via the keypad?
Thanks
Steve

As for the editing over 450 via keypad, that is interesting. Haven't heard that before.
