Regency RSP 500

Post by AzureLupine »

Hello and greetings to all.
I'm new to radio, but not to electronics per se... I've recently acquired an RSP500 from a local swap-meet, it came with the charging base, but no manuals or field programmer, the only channel I can pick up on it as of now is the local NOAA/NWS repeater (Ch.20). I have NOT Tx'd on ANY channel yet as I'm still in the process of liscensure. but any help in programming or in the way of an owners manual would be appreciated.

Thank you,

AZ,

To program the RSP you will need to find a working RELM PM45A(older) or PM4500(newer) hand held programmer. These were sold by the factory to dealers only. Owner's manuals are going to be difficult to locate as well.

I have a programmer but still use it for making customer repairs. I can program it if you can not find someone local.

Regards,

Bill
