Moving MRK out of band

Post by deeplist »

We just got in 207 retired M-RK portables in yesterday. They're on UHF between 470-500 MHz. Is there any easy way to move these down to mid band without replacing the hardware?

You are not going to get very far with these. Mabey some high gmrs or dot channels but not much else.
Good for parts though.

It is, you can move even 440-470 down to 420 without problems. "sc4 file" is what you want to google. some research and you will know how to create them yourself for any frequency :)

Even with an SC4 file you are not going to get a 470 mrk very far into the 440-470 split till you run out of vco. Gmrs probably but ham, no way
