Does anyone know a source for the X2212 chips in the rangers and deltas? I've got a few of the radios laying around that need the chips. Any help is appreciated.

Source for the Xicor X2212 Chips
An unlikely source
The old Selectone Mobilecall DTMF decoders use the X2212 chip in them. I managed to pick up about 5 or 6 of these units for a buck each at a ham swap.
Just another application that uses the device, that can be found very cheap.
Also, when one goes to upgrade a Motorola Syntor X9000 to 64 channel, the old 32 channel EEPROMS work in the S-950/990 control heads.

Re: An unlikely source
Once in a while I see ebay has some 128 channel GE Phoenix radios up for bid. These radios have 8 each of the EEPROMS in them. They are kind of rare, but they do flow through the system. Keep your eye open for them.
When I do see an auction for just the EEPROM, the price goes right through the roof. Your better off getting the whole radio and well as the EEPROM's. You can always use the radio or scrap it for parts.
