GPH problems

Post by SLTFD »

Hello BK users. I am new to the BK radios but our department just got 20 new GPH5102XCMDs. I have one that refuses to stop scanning. I have reprogrammed it and tried turning scanning off in the global settings but it won't stop. Is there something obvious I am missing or is it just broke?

Thanks

In case you are still waiting for a reply here is what I suspect. There is a scan switch at the top of the radio, usually the one closest to the antenna and yellow LED. If flipping it does nothing, check the programming of this switch. Make sure that one of the switches is designated as the Scan switch. If the switch is programmed correctly then the switch is defective or the connection to the microprocessor is open.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Bill

I rerporammed the radio a couple of times, once with the same program which has the scanning setup to operate with the switch. I then programed it not to scan at all. It never changed so now the radio is going back to the dealer. Thanks for the input
