IC-F50

I have added some new channels and when I turn on my radio to go to them they just flash. I cant hear someone else that is transmiting on that channel. The other radio is a GMRS What have I dont wrong. I have other channels that work fine

What frequency are you putting in? The F50 is a VHF radio and GMRS is on UHF.
