Any ideas about differences between Fx061 and IC-Fx161 Series radios?

I mean IC-F3061 / IC-F4061 and IC-F3161 / IC-F4161 portales.

As I have understood, IC-FX161 newer.

And also IC-FX161 utilize UT-126H for digital instead of UT-119H in IC-FX061.

This all differences or are still something more essential?

Besides price? Yes.

The 3161/4161 is supposed to have an improved processor, improved mic or speaker circuit something or other (sorry, can't remember off hand) and some additional signaling features not found in the 3061/4061.

If you're just going to use them in analog with no fancy signaling, I'd go with the 3061/4061. Otherwise, pony up the extra cash.

it takes a while to load, but read pages 1, 3 and 4.

About $260 for the limited keypad 4061. Add another $15 or so for the full keypad.

Around $390 for the 4161 with limited keypad. About $60 more for the full keypad version.

Above prices are for analog only radios. Think around $120-$180 more for digital capabilities. Above prices are guidelines of what you can find on-line, not MSRP. You might be able to do a bit better if you're willing to put the time into searching. You'll be hard pressed to find better prices on the 4061 though.

Any ideas why F-x161 uses UT-126H instead of UT-119H?

What is the differences between UT-126H and UT-119H?

UT-119H isn't part of IDAS concept?

UT-119H will work with IC-Fx161?

The MDC-1200 in the 3161 is tx and rx ,Status message, stun alias. The 3061 has no mdc1200

the UT119 and 126 are the same board there is a upgrade flash for the ut119 which makes it a ut126 going in the 3161 and 5061

Ok! Icom get Moto license on MDC? I heard that Moto don't like to sold licenses on MCD, becase this signaling is too old (it has been discussed on Batlabs).

Ok. Same hardware, but different firmware. But my question is still unanswered. What is the differences between UT-126 & UT-119? Both compatible with portables, both digital, both 6.25 kHz...

They are can talk with each other or no?
