Are you able to read/write with the software now, or just program from the the dial/light method?

i got it about 10 years ago i have been searching online found a page that lays it out but for some reason its not working
first step press and hold the light and dial keys while turning on the radio hold until SEL appears in the display but that never happens no matter how long i hold it
just thought i would try the bb for help

Have you tried to read/write the radio with software?

Otherwise, try these links.

They are for different models, but it should point you in the right direction. There is more than one reference to diode 17 (D17), so that may be your answer. They are also using different button combinations as well.

If you hold the light button at the same time as turning the channel knob, it will step in MHz increments.
