What does "VPU OLD !" mean?

Post by phreak »

I finally got my RIB to work but when I try to read from my TK-780 "VPU OLD!" flashes on the screen of the radio. What does it mean?

I googled VPU and Kenwood and found some info about Midian voice scramblers for Kenwoods called VPU11 and VPU15. Oh well it was worth a shot.

Sure it doesn't say"FPU OLD"? that means that it was previously programmed with newer software than you have.

If you write a program with the version that you have and dump it in...no problem.
