TK-3170 Programming

Post by dmonty83 »

Hi...

I have a TK-3170 Full Keypad and I found in the KPG-101D programming software that I can enabel "Self Programming". According to the help file, this is some sort of field programming ability?? Anyone know how to use it?

Also...the DTMF keypad on a TK-3180 can be programmed to just about any function. Is there something I am missing in the programming to do this on the 3170?? Thanks!

This board has strict rules about software piracy:

Offering to trade software is a sure way to kicked off.

Any Kenwood 2way dealer can program the radio for you and will possibly be willing to sell you the software.

EDIT 11/29 - These comments were directed to a post, since deleted, offering to trade Motorola RSS for Kenwood by a newbie.

Unless my English has miss led me, I don't see where this person has asked for any software to be sent to them.

I believe the question was how to do it. Don't get carried away with the police state here for someone asking a simple question on how to use
some software. These type of questions are how you learn to use it.

I was responding to a post from yesterday, now deleted, asking for Kenwood software and offering to trade Motorola Saber RSS.
