TK-730 Programming Issues

Post by ffellisbat9 »

I am having some issues with programming my tk-730. I fixed the communication problem by just making my usb port com 1 and then they talked but now when I try to read anything from the radio or write to the radio the control head says error everytime. I have tried everything and I double checked to make sure I was using the correct model in the program itself, but I am still getting error.

Anyone else have this problem?

I would try another computer with a true serial port. The USB-Serial adapters are not all created equal and might not work.

You are aboslutely correct. I went to where we take our fire apparatus and had them try the cable and it didn't work, so they programmed it in 30 seconds with their own cable. Wish I would have just gone there in the first place, cheaper to start with.
