TK-760/KPG29D Help

Post by sargeek »

I need a little direction. I am attempting to update the programming on a TK-760. I am running the KPG29D software on a dedicated DOS computer and I can not get the radio's completely communicate with the PC. I keep getting an error message on the PC, however, the radio's display changes to -PC- and I get the arrow to display on the screen. Any help would be much appreciated.

So I'm guessing that you are running the program in DOS right?

Does your RIB work correctly? Do you have other radios that it works on?

Have you ever programmed this radio before?

Is it a G model? They use KPG56D.

This might help.

The are the older 760, so it requires the KPG29D. I have a dedicated DOS computer for programing. I got another copy of the software, but I still have problems. My guess is that the RSS cable is faulty.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah, I would suspect the cable as well.
