TKR-720 Odd problem.....

Post by KX4KDH »

Hello again, folks.... I was handed a TKR-720 for our club today, and I wanted to program it at work since I have access to a KPG-50 there.... Much to my surprise, the KPG-50 won't power up, leading me to believe there is no power at the mic jack. When you turn the repeater on, the power light comes on. If you push MON, the light for that comes on. In fact, all lights will come on. I am not terribly familiar with this repeater. I'm not sure if the receiver, or the transmitter sends power to the mic.... Or none of the above?

Sheesh....... :x

The same fuse serves the switched a+ at the rear 15 pin Molex...have you verified that it's missing?

I have not.... Now that I am finished working out of town, I can break it down, and look for it... Also, if it also powers the switched 12v at the rear, I can see if it's working or not.... That's amazing to me that they have a pico fuse on the rear port... Not to mention that is supplies power up front, as well!
