Programming Mode - 500M

Looking for information on how to put the Ericsson / M/A-Com KMC / 500M Edacs mobile radio in the programming mode.

For the KMC/500M it says: Start by hooking up the programming cable with the radio OFF. Using the ON/OFF/Volume knob, turn the radio power ON. This places the radio in the programming mode.
If the radio enters the programming mode correctly, "PROG" will appear in the display.
