Has anyone ever seen the option boards for the TK705/805 series of radios? These are DRS (digital recoding sys.) DTMF and 2tone options boards that were supposedly available for these radios. I have worked with these Kenwoods for several years but have never seen a radio with one of these boards nor have I ever seen a manual for the options.

Hi
Look at the TK-808 intended for the Japanese market and you will find part of what you are looking for in that , dtmf decoder board that sit on top of the VCO.
Thr tk-808 was(I assume) worked around the commercial TK-308 as the equivalent and to be used as a base-handie combo with all the DTMF interoperation.
I have seen a few TK-808's here in South Africa but no documentation.

We have worked the Kenwood TK208 40
channel vhf portable
and the tk308 portable but the 808?
The tk705 was a twenty year old mobile
self programmable vhf 16 ch mobile.
It was a great small mobile.
