630 MPL no workee

Post by kk6rq »

Hi. As far as I can tell, I've programmed everything correctly for multi PL,
yet it doesn't work. OPT button assigned; list populated. The button shows
'OPT' when I press it, but no CODE 1, CODE 2, etc. My friend's radio works
fine. Is there a firmware rev issue here? Or did I miss something?

BTW, I've tried both OPT and AUX; same deal.

HELP!

Tnx.

Yep, same version. In case anyone's interested, it's currently a single radio
with 'A' firmware.

I don't know what firmware revision my radios have off the top of my head, but on my 630s I have to press and hold the [SCAN] button and then press the [OPT] button to get the CODE # to appear on the display. Give that a try and see if it helps you.

Pressing the [OPT] button alone simply turns the [OPT] function on and off, as indicated by the icon on the display.

Good luck!

ALRIGHT!...That's the ticket, laddie... Thank you.

...Y'know, I had a funny feeling it was some silly secret handshake like that....

And now my life is complete. Or rather, it will be once I find the one short
cable to finish the dual radio setup.
