This is the first run 5300 EFJ had. And not a very good one IMO.
I don't have the exact PN breakdown, but I can tell you it is a VHF standard mount radio.
It seems to me the AAAB meant P25 Conventional, no encryption.

Anywho this model is no longer supported by EFJ.

Please advise: 023-5130-032

P.S.
As I heard, this is pre-production radio (sample?) with P25 support.

All I can really tell you from this model number is that it is a 5100 (Not SL/Ascend) and is VHF.
If you have any letter strings on the end that would tell me more of the SW options that are enabled. Most of the time though 023 versions don't indicate these, as most of the time 023 radios were 'samples' used as demos and such.

It must be UHF 403-470!

No letters at the end of model number :(

What does mean 'sample' in case with EFJ 5100? Beta version of firmware? Or also H/W differencies can exist? Any way to do firmware upgrade to make it 'final'?

My bad, I was looking at the 1 and not the 3. It is a UHF 380-470.

I am pretty sure that it just means it was demo unit, or an eval unit.
The SW and HW should still be current for the date of production. You can always upgrade the SW to the latest available version.

Again, 023 numbers are hard for me.
the 5120 tells me it is a 5100 (not SL/Ascend), 380-470 Mhz and that is about it.
