MPA HAMFLASH

Post by metro121 »

Is there a way to get a UHF hamflashed MPA to work in the 450-470 split or do I need to UN-FLASH the radio.

How would I unflash the radio if needed to work the higher band?

Thanks in advance. metro121

It should work from 435 to 470 without any retuning. If however yours was tuned differently, say much lower or higher in frequency, then these band edges may be off by up 5 Mhz or more. But all you'd need to do is retune the front end preselector and the VCO to get this range back.

I had 2 that worked 435 to 470, tx and rx, with hamflash in them although I never used them above 450 Mhz as I only tested them into a service monitor and there was very little difference in rx or tx performance across this range.
