The Radio Information Board

I am kinda new to the programming of the Vertex radios, but I have programmed Motorola, Kenwood, and Icom, so I am not completely new.

The problem I have is getting the computer to read the radio. As far as I know, everything is connected correctly. It is in PC Clone mode, but when I try to read it, it takes forever and eventually the software gives up or the radio displays an error on the screen.

If you need anymore info, just ask. Any help is appreciated.

Make sure you selected VX6000 in the main menu. Think it is in the hardware section. Sometimes the software for what ever reason, whould not just automatically recognize the model of radio.

Sometimes, rarely, the old software wuould play games and not read a radio with newer firmware.

Love Vertex, but sometimes it gives me a reason to drink.
