Historical Perspective-GE M2 vs RCA TT200

Post by fineshot1 » Tue Sep 24, 2019 1:06 pm

I know that in 1986 GE purchased RCA and raped RCA for all its good divisions. If you look at a GE MastrII mobile and an RCA Tactec 200 mobile side by side with the covers off it is clear they are virtually the same radio although they are mirror images of each other. The only part I do not know and would like to know is which came first - the RCA Tactec 200 or the GE MastrII? Hopefully some old timers read this thread and can set me straight as to which came first.
