Re: Differences between IC-Fx061 and IC-Fx161 Series
Besides price? Yes. The 3161/4161 is supposed to have an improved processor, improved mic or speaker circuit something or other (sorry, can't remember off hand) and some additional signaling features not found in the 3061/4061. If you're just going to use them in analog with no fancy signaling, I'd...

I know that TK-5210 is really available, but did not hear that someone owned TK-5310. It in general is available to purchase? Anybody played with the...

Differences between IC-Fx061 and IC-Fx161 Series
Any ideas about differences between Fx061 and IC-Fx161 Series radios? I mean IC-F3061 / IC-F4061 and IC-F3161 / IC-F4161 portales. As I have understood, IC-FX161 newer. And also IC-FX161 utilize UT-126H for digital instead of UT-119H in IC-FX061. This all differences or are still something more esse...

Thank you!Intrinsically Safe wrote:My guess is that you'd be OK with 1.22.0.4, but we are talking about 4 yr old software. I don't think there were major file format changes between the two, but I could be wrong.

Re: MODEL STRING DECODE REQUESTS ONLY
OkMy bad, I was looking at the 1 and not the 3. It is a UHF 380-470.
Thank you!The SW and HW should still be current for the date of production. You can always upgrade the SW to the latest available version.

Re: MODEL STRING DECODE REQUESTS ONLY
All I can really tell you from this model number is that it is a 5100 (Not SL/Ascend) and is VHF. It must be UHF 403-470! If you have any letter strings on the end that would tell me more of the SW options that are enabled. Most of the time though 023 versions don't indicate these, as most of the t...
