OK I think we go it. I thought I had an alpha-numeric display but I guess I don't. I have the 2 dashes. Now I need to get the connection problem worked out and I home free. Thanks for all the help everyone! Robert

Getting the radios into program mode has been the problem the whole time. Everyone I talk to about this says I need them in program mode but no one can tell me how to get there. I have tried all combinations of holding buttons down on power up but no luck. Whats next? Any ideas?

Yes I did. I may not have a full version of the software. When I tried to use the help file it just says file not found. There is a 15 pin plug in the back of the radio. I was wondering if I needed to do some type of jumper there? Does this ring any bells? Thanks Robert

I have the KPG-5D software and a KPG-4 programing cable but I have been told the radio needs to be in the program mode. I have tried holding all the buttons on power up but I can't get the radio to go into program mode. With just the software and the cable pluged into the radio I get a comunication ...

Trying to help out my local school distric but I am in a little over my head. I am having trouble getting a Kenwood TK-930 into the programing mode. Can anyone help? Thanks Robert
