Using any simplex portable with a mobile radio and on http://www.batlab.com see "Wills" extender unit.This is SUPER to get maximum distance from any low cost portable radio. The cost is VERY CHEAP. "Will" keep up the GOOD WORK. .

We have worked the Kenwood TK208 40
channel vhf portable
and the tk308 portable but the 808?

The tk705 was a twenty year old mobile
self programmable vhf 16 ch mobile.
It was a great small mobile.

Too much rf power on a mobile can be costly.
Most mobiles are rated for 20% duty cycle.
So if you push the power TOO LONG
there goes the RF amp.
