tk-760hg won't scan

A elderly farmer friend of mine has a TK-760HG. It decided not to scan. Am looking for an operator's manual or copy of same.

Seem all the alpha designators for channels are preceded by a letter P.
I'm assuming that he has somehow set all the channels to priority? Is this possible from the front panel? If so, can it be fixed via the front panel?

It is set up for the selected channel to be the priority,this is in the pc programming.you need to add a channel to the scan list with the delete/add key,then hang up the mic and hit scan.
