Programming GE MDX

Post by Maddog949 »

I would like to program a conv. GE-MDX radio. I have the Rib/Cables/Computer I need, but am lacking the software. I have looked on Radtek.com but cannot find / or don't know what software to use. Also, when programming the radio, are there any keypad combinations needed to put the radio into it's programming mode. Thanks for any help. MJT

You'll need EDACS4 software or ProGrammer as it's also called. Not sure where you'll find it, it isn't on radtek. To get the MDX into programming mode, hold the volume button in the up position while turning the radio on. Also, do not connect the RIB to the radio until the software prompts you to, otherwise the software will keep giving you error messages. Good luck.
