VX-150 Scan Beep

I just got a VX-150 yesterday, and I am very pleased with it.
My only complaint is that when scanning and the radio picks up a signal, there is a tone at the beginning sounding similar to "beeboo", then the signal comes in clear.
Is there a way to turn that off?
