The Radio Information Board

The TK 840 was produced in 3 band splits. Can they be retuned to another split?

I have 2 "T" band ,and they won't tune for 470 ,so I say the other splits are the same.

I have the same problem with 4 of the tk 840, i thought i bought a 450-470 mhz radios but i bought 488-512 mhz band. my radio shop said he can do it but it would be more than the radio's worth and he would have to change major parts but no you can't just tune it, it won't accept it.
