I just got my first batch of 2180's. I have never used this verison of Kenwood software. (KPG-89D) I am unable to get the channel names to display. I have the Display Character window set to "CH/GID Name". This window is located in the edit/optional features page.

What am I missing?

I'm not sure if these'll do it but check into these:

In the Optional Features screen, Common Page-1, check that "Display Character" is set to "CH/GID Name".

In the Zone Edit screen if you have the "Data Zone-CH/GID" set to "None" that may be it.
