Kenwood tk-780 front panel program??

Can a kenwood tk-780 have the frequencies programmed through the front the same as a tk-760 can??
field programmable without the use of a laptop....

not that i am aware of but there may be a firmware version avaliable that would enable that feature

Actually, it can. i was reading in the service manual on how to do it last night. You have to desolder several resistors on the board. If you need info from the service manual, email me and I'll get it to you.
