The Radio Information Board

I have a tk 780H that I have been trying to program for quite a while now
with the DOS version of the RSS (kpg49d). There appears to be nothing wrong with my RIB I built using the MAX232/NTE7142 and the DB25 connector. I tried getting a windows based program from our kenwood dealer here but he refused to sell it to me. What should be done?

I think I know what the problem is. I was using a DB25 (COM3) connector for my RIB but in my rss I can only get up to COM2 and both of the COM2's are db9's ill give this a shot this week and post here if it worked.
