The Radio Information Board

Trying to program a tk-3180 with the same cable i use for a 3140. Using ver 1.10 software and it will say program on radio screen however the computer says com error.

Checked settings and then tried to read a 3140 with same cable. Worked Fine.

Could i need an updated software??

Some of the after market cables have ground wire problems and missing pins in the universal plug. Are you using an original Kenwood Programming cable?
