TK390 Programming

Ok, I got past the password on my old TK 390. I read it and blew it into my brand new tk390. However I have a problem. It seems like the radio is acting funny. When it opens up to recieve it seems to hang open a bit after the transmission ends. Just sits there and frys for a couple seconds. It also seems to have a sort of click off and on. Is there something special you have to do to a new from the factory radio besides blowing the programming in? Thanks.
