Just looking for general opinions of the Kenwood portable mic (KMC-25)
We purchased Otto mics when we bought a bunch of TK-380's. Perosnally, they are too big and with thick gloves on its hard to know that you have actually keyed the mic. But don't get me wrong, the Otto mic can take a beating! We have had these things all iced over and after a could of hits the free up

Now I have been using the KMC-25 for about 3-4 months now and haven't had the opportunity to beat up on the KMC-25. Anyone out there have any opnions?? Thanks.

Dave

we have about four of them on our TK-3140's and they are pretty damn tough. RX audio is superb but you do kind of have to get into the mike to get solid TX dev but they sound nice. The coil cords are heavier than most (even the one on my XTS3000 Commander mike).

Good size on the head too. Not as big and boxy like the old KMC-8A's for the TK240/250 two-pins (and I still have some of those in service too!).

thanks...
