Microphones KMC-28A v. MC-53DM

Basically I am trying to figure out if I can use the Kenwood DTMF Amateur Mic (the MC-53DM) with my TK-880? It works with a TKR-850 repeater so I think it might?
The 880 and the TKR 750/850 use the same mic...so yeah it will work.
