I need the eeproms to do the tk-730/830 dual band set up. Anyone know where they can be bought at?

Try using the ones you have,if they are the later firmware they will work.

I just got a 630H/730H all set for dual band with full alpha head,speaker,mic ect for $125 but they removed the eeproms. I have a 730h/and a 830 in my car now the plan was to swap out the 730's and make the changes to my 830 but I have to find the eeproms. I can get them here at a local dealer but was looking for cheaper.

Why would someone remove the EPROMS? Are you sure it's the larger firmware proms that are missing or the 8 pin proms.

Okay, if you need the little ones, 24C04 or 24C16 for the 160 channel they can be purchased from Mouser for about a buck or 2. If you need the firmware proms you can either buy them from http://www.kenwoodparts.com.

or maybe someone can scrounge up some parts radios and pull the proms for you. I might even have something in my junk pile.
