The Radio Information Board

I see you can get the dispatch software to allow you to send all the text and status messages via fleetsync with a connected 80-series radios. This is not idea for a public safety dispatch system since the last thing we need is more software and computer screens and more manual typing.

I see the radio is connected via a simple serial port. Is there a way we could just use the existing CAD to spit out some ASCII or something to that serial port and have it send the text message that way?
