Hi all,
I just received a few TK-760 mobile radios (no H or G on the end). When I power them up I see it has a 8 character display but is set up ch1, ch2,etc. Are these capable of chanel aliasing and do they work well in 2 M ? 32 ch. right ?
Thanks !

Ch 1, ch 2 etc. plus other pre set display characters (while in different functions) is all the radio is capable of.
Correct: they are 32 channel radio's
Since there is no "H" on the end of the model number, they would be 25 watt radio's tk-760H are 45 watts.
as you look at the back of the radio, you should see the FCC ID :ALHTK-760 -1 or FCC ID ALHTK-760 -2 (guessing on that second one)
The point is, if it is a -1 the frequency range is 148-174MHz (in the manual it is listed as "K")
if the radio is a -2 the frequency range is 136-156MHz (in the manual it is listed as K2)
I'm not sure what all is necessary to take a 148-174Mhz and turn it into a 136-156. I have the upper one and have been through the front face programming a couple times and have found where to change the radio type. What tuning is required on the radio is what I don't know......

Appreciate that, I have the 146-174 as well. Too bad that display won't do alpha-numeric tags, very nice unit otherwise.
