I have only been able to get the receive down to about 443.500 MHz on my 890. After that it goes out of lock.

I'm sure it can be retuned to cover all of the 70cm band but I don't have the tools or the talent to do it. :)

All I did was to spread the VCO coils a little and readjust the rec LO and REC. hi VCO trimmers but so far I have only gone as high in freq as 445.0. I did adjust the squelch. did yours come out of Canada? Davie n 3 c h u at atlanticbb dot net

My 890 is a Type 1 so tuning down is the problem.

I'm okay with it because the 70cm repeaters I normally use are in the 444-445 range.

The 890 did go up to 460mhz by retuning the Rec. HI again so it should cover the 440 band. 73 Davie P.S. It helps if you know what you are doing and of course I DONT.(thats why its so much fun)
